Social Service Assistant – Part-Time

Alden Des Plaines has an exciting opportunity for a Social Service Assistant to assist short-term orthopedic and long-term care residents and their families with transitional and discharge planning as well as Care Plan process and implementation. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a team setting. A BA/BS or degree in Social Services or a related field is preferred. CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant)

Work with RNs, assist with monitoring vital signs and transport. Previous experience helpful. CNA certification required. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have a willingness to learn the facility’s orthopedic, cardiac and neurological protocols.
